Museum Island via Berlin Bus - Tips & Stops

Museum Island (Museumsinsel) is a cluster of five world-class museums. The bus drops you right at the Lustgarten, steps away from the entrance.

The Stop: "Museumsinsel" or "Berlin Cathedral"

Almost every bus line stops here. You are greeted by the massive Berlin Cathedral (Berliner Dom).

The Big Five

1. Pergamon Museum: Ancient monumental architecture (Check renovation status!).
2. Neues Museum: Home of Nefertiti.
3. Alte Nationalgalerie: 19th-century art.
4. Bode-Museum: Byzantine art and sculptures.
5. Altes Museum: Antiquities.

Strategy

• Morning: Hop off at 10 AM. Spend 2-3 hours in the Neues Museum.
• Lunch: picnic in the Lustgarten or cafe near Hackescher Markt.
• Afternoon: Hop back on the bus to continue to Checkpoint Charlie.
