Berlin is continuously improving its accessibility. Here is how the HOHO buses stack up.
Bus Accessibility
- Double-Deckers: All major operators (Big Bus, City Sightseeing, Stromma) feature low-floor entry and fold-out ramps for the lower deck.
- Wheelchair Space: There is a dedicated space on the lower deck for 1 wheelchair.
- Upper Deck: Unfortunately, the upper deck is usually only accessible via stairs.
Audio Guides
- Headphones: Are provided. The jacks are standard 3.5mm.
- Volume: Can be adjusted at every seat.
Accessible Stops
Most pavement curbs in Berlin Mitte are lowered.
- Easy: Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, Potsdamer Platz.
- Tricky: Some stops near construction sites or older cobblestone streets.
