Bus with low floor access

Berlin is continuously improving its accessibility. Here is how the HOHO buses stack up.

Bus Accessibility

  • Double-Deckers: All major operators (Big Bus, City Sightseeing, Stromma) feature low-floor entry and fold-out ramps for the lower deck.
  • Wheelchair Space: There is a dedicated space on the lower deck for 1 wheelchair.
  • Upper Deck: Unfortunately, the upper deck is usually only accessible via stairs.

Audio Guides

  • Headphones: Are provided. The jacks are standard 3.5mm.
  • Volume: Can be adjusted at every seat.

Accessible Stops

Most pavement curbs in Berlin Mitte are lowered.

  • Easy: Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, Potsdamer Platz.
  • Tricky: Some stops near construction sites or older cobblestone streets.
